Opportunities for Compactor Trucks in Central Asia and the Middle East: CLW’s Tech and Insights

When Saudi Arabia announced a 55 billion SAR (around $32 billion) push to raise its recycling rate from 3–4% to 95%, and Central Asia enjoys a fast 3.9% growth (IMF 2024), both regions became hot spots for exporting  Chinese compactor trucks. As an export specialist at Hubei Chengli Special Automobile Co., we’ve seen firsthand how China’s “Belt and Road” gear adapts to –30 °C winters in Kazakhstan and 50 °C deserts in Saudi Arabia.

Central Asia: Beating the Chill with Smart Design

On Kazakhstan’s steppes, over 20 compactor trucks adapted for –30 °C conditions are reshaping waste collection. Local projects have yet to bring trash-to‐energy online, but by 2030 they’ll invest RMB 25.7 billion in incinerators—and they need front-end collection gear today.

Our Dongfeng Duolicar compactor truck handles the cold with special seals to stop hydraulic oil leaks, oil-line heaters for reliable startups, and a tough 4 × 4 mm carbon-steel hopper that won’t buckle under frozen trash. Its 8 m³ volume with a 4:1 compression ratio processes 1.5× more waste per shift than standard models.

IMF data show Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan growing around 5% in 2024, with new 1 500 t/day waste-to-energy plants under way. In projects led by China Everbright, over 60% of collection fleets are compactors. We’re adapting our cold-weather tech from Xinjiang into the CLW5160ZYSD6 model—soon to ship in volume for Kazakh-China environmental partnerships in 2025.

Middle East: Handling Heat, Dust, and Big Volumes

In Riyadh, the plan to recycle 95% of waste opens a $32 billion market—and Saudi Arabia aims to collect 100 million t of waste annually. Our trucks use high-flash-point hydraulic oil (over 240 °C) and upgraded cooling systems so the hydraulics never overheat. UV-resistant paint and self-cleaning air filters fend off sandstorms.

Chinese compactor truck imports have jumped 18% a year into the Middle East (Dou Ding Report 2025). Saudi Arabia alone needs thousands of high-capacity trucks—especially during Hajj and Eid, when trash spikes. We’re developing a 20 m³ model just for that.

We’ve already supplied concrete mixers to Iraq and custom trucks to Qatar, so compactor truck clients benefit from proven CLW support. Research firm Grand View forecasts the Middle East & Africa’s dump-truck market hitting $892 million by 2030 at a 7.4% CAGR—and compactors should outpace that at over 10%.

CLW’s Edge: Data-Driven, Custom Solutions

By 2025, Chinese compactor trucks hold 42% of the global market (Dou Ding). Central Asia and the Middle East drive that growth—and CLW Group’s secret is turning big-picture data into real machines. Need a 3–8 t model for Southeast Asia? We offer the Dongfeng Duolicar series. Need 20 m³ for Saudi festivals? That’s in the lab now. Facing –30 °C in Kazakhstan? Our cold-pack tech adapts.

We cover 3–20 m³ volumes and work on Dongfeng, Foton, and other chassis. We use imported hydraulic parts so our trucks keep running in extremes. Compared to European rivals, we’re over 40% cheaper with the same performance—a big selling point when Saudi Arabia invests 55 billion SAR.

From Almaty’s snowy peaks to Riyadh’s desert sands, CLW compactor trucks break through climate barriers. If you’re planning waste-handling projects in Central Asia or the Middle East, let’s talk. We’ll help you choose the right truck, adapt the tech, and support you from delivery through service—so “Made in China” really drives local success.
